Timmothy and I got to go out to see a movie while Jean watched Owen, and we actually had a lot of fun. Maybe actually spending time apart from each other has strengthened our relationship...it's the first time in a long time that I actually felt flirty and felt those butterflies flying around in my stomach. After being together for almost five years...it had been awhile since he really just smiled at me for no reason and complimented me like he did on Saturday night.
Also, Sunday I got to spend a few hours with Amber. We just went shopping and got groceries for her apartment and a few for Jean's house (since I'm staying with her for the moment...), but it was so much fun, getting to laugh with her.
I think, for me, just getting out of the house and actually being able to get some fresh air felt so phenomenal that I realize now how withdrawn I've really been lately.
And, I did enjoy the movie (although I wish that, like usual, they hadn't left out so much.)
Wouldn't it be just great if the Harry Potter movies were shot like the LoTR movies...where they came out with the extended version that had all of the scenes (or most of them, anyways) that were left out of the theatrical releases? I would enjoy that, I think.
Back to reality though...my work is getting ready to go out on it's annual scavenger hunt in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to it...last year Timmothy and I had an AWESOME time. We all get into groups in brand new Suburbans and scour the city for items on the list. Every picture has to include the whole team (or a specific number of members to discourage splitting up and cheating) and you get extra points for doing something crazy. Some of the better requests last year were to get a picture of a mummy (the best picture actually went to a group who stopped at a walgreens to buy toilet paper and wrapped up one of their team members) and a police officer's ticket page (we had a nice time coaxing one of those from them). There was also a category for "Outrageous Team Photo) and our team won with our idea. We actually used the rest of the toilet paper to toilet paper our boss's Suburban. It was definitely shocking.
I had such a blast and I can't wait for the next hunt.
Work is really the highlight of my life, lately.
Some people would call that pathetic. But not me! I say, let me have my cake and enjoy it. Even if I'm working for it.
Here's to the future...and any wacky antics that should happen to present themselves.
