Here's to.....resurrecting the past!

One for the record books...Owen is 10 pounds now. I can't believe it. On the plus side--I can just feel my muscles getting bigger! (It's about time, I tell ya!)

Timmothy is taking me on my birthday date on Saturday to see the HP movie. (I like to avoid that "Opening Week" madness...makes the movie more enjoyable when you have an empty seat next to you and no little boy going "OH My GOSH!!!" every fifteen minutes.) We're going to look around to try to find a house that will work with our budget.

Hopefully....

Mom's been talking to me and Timmothy about how nice it is in Wyoming and how she really thinks that it could be a great opprotunity for us to move out there. I can't lie and say I haven't been considering it. I've never lived near the mountains...in fact, I've never seen any in person before. Winter might be rough, but I would be closer to my mom and I would appreciate the help with Owen.

Maybe what we really need is a change of scenery. I mean...moving from Oklahoma to Kansas isn't really a big whoop-de-doo...they are so similar that you can't even really count it as a difference. The only change you really encounter is what...sales tax? La-dee dah!

I'm finally getting a chance to reconnect with my sister Amber...we have only seen each other maybe once or twice in the last month, and I can guarentee we haven't spent more than three hours together in that accumulated time. We're hanging out on Sunday, going to the store and things like that. It's not much...but every little bit helps.

I've been re-reading some of my old entries, and it's shocking how much my personality has seemed to change. I was so happy go lucky and silly sometimes...these days that's given way to seriousness and ironic dispositions, lol. Every now and then, though...I feel like I'm 16 again and ready for the world!

Today...a little older, lol.

We had a huge thunderstorm last night, took out the power for four hours, and I just sat there and played with Owen and comforted him. When the thunder would get really loud, he would jump and look around, trying to see what was making that racket. He's so damned cute. I know that even at 3 months old, he's got me in the palm of his hand. I'd do anything for that little boy.

I guess that's what I'm supposed to do. I'm his mommy.

I never thought I'd ever utter those words. Lol.

But I'm happy to.

Very happy.
